50m

After a few missed chances I finally managed to hit the 50m! It was my second trip on the MV Trident to the Unicorn wreck and I was diving with my friend Sam … had the best dives so far with him :) we make diving fun!
The last time we went out together on the wreck trip we only got to 48m … so we had to go for it again … sure! Down again and this time straight for the 50, sticking our computers down in the silk (irghs!!!) and yes, spot on 50m … Sam only got to 49.9 :) you get what you deserve.

It is kinda cool feeling down there, nitrogen narcosis kicking in and you feel like being on a nice trip. Some tend to get narced at 30m already and some are more prone to this narcosis stuff … from time to time I’d like to get narced early then i wouldn’t have to go down that deep … but on the other side it helps you to keep focused in shallower depths (shallower than 50m …) which means you are able to cope with the little narcosis you might experience in 30m to 40m … I think that is kinda good when you are responsible for other divers, isn’t it?

Well so far so good, but I think this will stay the maximum depth for a long time now, it is not very responsible to go down that deep on a single tank and without any additional training or backup (where was the pony bottle??). But now I am really interested in going even deeper, but that has to wait … maybe I’ll sign up for a techdive course, but it’s quite expensive … at the moment i am fine with my recreational stuff :)
